Pretty Little Promos

Yes folks ABC Family has finally started releasing info on their TV adaption of Sara Shepard’s addictive novels collectively titled Pretty Little Liars. Now I only have 2 videos to post here on the site but as a dedicated reader I can already spot several things that aren’t correct and might cause problems if they really want to follow the books. But books are rarely followed when there’s ratings at stake and creative writers on staff. Just look at Gossip Girl. But the promos make the show look good so I’m excited to see how ABC Family brings one of my favorite book series to life. The show and book 8, Wanted, are out on the same day, June 8th. The series has a 10 episode pick up so far but good ratings could change all that. I’ll let the promos give you an idea of what the show’s about. Think Gossip Girl meets twisted murders/plot twists and frequent oops everything you know is wrong moments!

Here’s the short promo

Looks good huh? I’m excited. Now for a more in depth look at the series

Both video’s from Oceanup.com

The show stars Ashley Benson (Supernatural-It’s the Great Pumpkin Sam Winchester!)as Hanna, Lucy Hale (Privileged) as Aria, Troian Bellisario as Spencer and Shay Mitchell as Emily. Alexis Denisof (Angel) will be playing Bryon Montgomery (Aria’s dad) in the pilot after which he’ll be replaced by Chad Lowe (Horrible I know!) and Holly Marie Combs (Charmed) is playing Aria’s mom. (Alexis Denisof married to Holly Marie Combs? I just died. Here’s to the inspiration of a whole new sub genre of fan fiction.) Bianca Lawson (Buffy the Vampire Slayer & The Vampire Diaries) will also appear as Mya St. Germain. Sasha Pieterse will be playing Alison.

I’ll keep you posted on all the juicy little secrets that escape into the world.

*Edit*

I found some additional videos for you via prettylittleliarsss youtube channel. Enjoy!

This video says Wanted will not only be the 8th book, but also the last. Kind of ironic that it comes out on the same day the show begins doesn’t it? But can we believe anything we learn when it comes to the secrets that are hidden in Rosewood?
