Dollhouse proudly presents…Epitaphs; The Comic Book (I f*cking kid you not.)

July 19, 2010

If you saw the title of this post and immediatly went “What the F*ck!!!” and then felt a wave of orgasmic awesomeness than you’re not alone. Now to set the record straight.

Epitaphs takes place between Epitaph One & Epitaph Two: Return and will focus on those characters probably explaining why it took them a year to find Safe Haven in the first place. It’s written by Epitaph writers Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancheroen who were bigger breakout stars than some of the cast. The cover will have Felicia Day and ‘that other guy’ on the cover and is exclusive to the Season 2 DVD and Blue-Ray box sets.

Say What?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Yep, if you want the comic you gotta buy Dollhouse the Complete Second (and final) Season on DVD or Blue-Ray. I think this is the reason FOX put off releasing it this long. (The DVD/Blue-Ray won’t be released until October 12th while the show finished airing in January.) For a while FOX was saying we’d have to wait until Comic Con to find out anything regarding the DVD release but info has slowly been leaking out all month so I guess that spoiled their evil plans huh? My big question thou is how on earth was this kept a secret for so long? And was this something they’d planned to do or was it a ‘Hey we’ve got this and this happening at the same time-let’s lump them together’ kind of thing?

So to sum up FOX is still the bad guy, Jed & Maurissa are soon to be the double rainbow of yet another story telling format, Felica Day is fabulous and yeah my life sucks because I’m always broke and Netflix doesn’t send you comic books. Can it be October yet so I can see if I can get it at the library?
